travels at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour and is ready out of the box.

Drone racing has exploded in popularity with worldwide events and ESPN deals, but it’s still a rather expensive and time-consuming hobby with pricey kits and extravagant setups. UVify aims to solve half the hassle with its ready-to-fly Draco. The drone, roughly 8.4 inches by 6.5 inches, can perform 360-degree flips and maintain speeds greater than 75 miles per hour. It’s built for indoor and outdoor use, with interchangeable arms (great for quick fixes) and a swappable battery.

UVify claims the Draco is lightweight and features a unibody shell made of carbon-fiber. That’s not too far-fetched, seeing as most racing drones are similar in design. In flight, pilots can view first-person drone footage via a headset like Fatshark’s DominatorImage may be NSFW.

The drone is fit for flight in the harshest of weather conditions. It’ll withstand strong winds and rain, but UVify doesn’t recommend placing the drone underwater. Furthermore, users can fly Draco for more than just racing: freestyle, stunt, and “extreme” aerial photography.

UVify’s plucky racing quadcopter is available for pre-order for $599. The startup plans to ship next quarter.
